Family Feud questions for work: what you need to know and how to play

Friendly group of young businesspeople laughing together

Building a collaborative team in any work environment takes a considerable amount of time, planning, and team building activities. Family Feud questions are some of the best ways teams can build a vibrant working environment. But what is Family Feud, how do you play it, and what do you need to get started? We'll take you through all you need to know to bring Family Feud to your team.

What is Family Feud?

Family Feud is an American reality television series currently hosted by comedian Steve Harvey. The show, which is a remake of the popular 1970s game show, pits families against each other in a trivia contest where the goal is to answer questions and earn more points than the opposing family by answering questions faster than them. The team with the most points wins the game.

How Family Feud is played

The game is played by two teams of family members (you can divide your team into “families”). The families are given a survey prompt, which has already been answered by 100 random people. These surveys ask questions about their opinions, their favorite things, and their personal lives. The teams will then guess the answer that they believe was given the most often.

After teams have locked in their guesses, the host will reveal the most popular answers as given by the 100 survey takers. Each answer is given a point value, based on the number of people who gave that response. Teams will receive points for each guess that is on the board, and the team with the most points will win the game. If you want to easily hop into the action, Bar None Games’ triathlon offers a series of mini games including a Family Feud-inspired round of Survey Says.
