Women’s History Month

As a female-owned business, we love this month! Women’s History Month is an important month to honor the significant women in history and present day, as well as to recognize the civil rights movement around women’s equality. Use this month to honor the women at your company and celebrate female pioneers. Hosting a virtual Women’s History Month themed trivia event is an awesome way to incorporate both fun and education into this important month.

Pi Day (March 14)

A slightly nerdy but extremely fun day to celebrate, Pi Day is celebrated on 3.14! For the companies that are in-person, you can have a pie baking competition and see who’s the most accomplished baker in the office. For companies that are remote, you can choose to celebrate the day by sending pies from local bakeries to your employees. Then, get everyone together for a Zoom and have a pie happy hour. You’ll also learn what everyone’s favorite types of pie are!

Employee Appreciation Day (first Friday in March)

Don’t forget to show your employees how much you appreciate them by putting Employee Appreciation Day on your workplace events calendar! Kick the day off by recognizing everything that your employees do that are above and beyond. Give employees shoutouts and recognize them in other ways. End the day by organizing a fun event where they can take their mind off of work for an hour and just laugh and have fun, or send them a care package of snacks and other delicious treats for them to enjoy on this day.

International Women’s Day (March 8)

We should celebrate women every day, but March 8th is a particularly special day to add to your workplace events calendar to show all of the women at your company how much you appreciate them. You can spotlight the women at your company on social media or at a company All Hands to share all of the contributions they’ve made at your company. There are tons of great ways to make sure that all of the women at your company feel honored for International Women’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day (March 17)

St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time of the year to get your team together for a happy hour. Whether you arrange a virtual happy hour around a virtual St. Patrick’s Day event or gather your team together at a local bar, your employees are sure to get excited for this Irish celebration when you add it to your 2023 workplace events calendar.
