AAPI Heritage Month

As an Asian-owned company, AAPI Heritage Month is close to our heart. We always recommend hosting an AAPI Heritage Month trivia event as a great way to honor the Asian Americans at your company while also allowing allies to partake in celebrations. Your team is guaranteed to learn something new for the event, while also sharing in a lot of laughter and fun memories.

Mental Health Month

Health is wealth, including mental health. Encourage your employees to take care of their mental health and wellness and help provide them with tools to do so by honoring Mental Health Month in your workplace events calendar. A corporate Headspace account is a great way to start to ensure that your employees all have access to a way to help them focus, destress, help them sleep, and more. You can also host a workshop with a professional about how to journal as a way of processing, or host a meditation session.

Cinco de Mayo (May 5)

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the anniversary of Mexico's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In the United States, this holiday has also become associated with celebrating Mexican culture. Grab margaritas and tacos with your co-workers, or engage in some fun and games with Cinco de Mayo trivia for a fun spin on the celebrations.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day (second Saturday of May)

This day represents the largest national one-day food drive in the United States. The food drive is facilitated by those who work for your local post office, and when USPS comes to your mailbox to deliver mail, on this day, they also pick up non-perishable items from your mailbox. Encourage your employees to participate by having everyone take photos of their mailbox on Saturday and send it in the group Slack, or by having employees bring cans to work and leaving the cans at your company’s office mailbox.

National Pizza Party Day (third Friday in May)

Who doesn’t love a good excuse for a pizza party? Add National Pizza Party Day to your workplace events calendar! Send a pizza pie to everyone on your team and host a virtual pizza party. You’ll discover what everyone’s favorite pizza toppings are. You never know who in the group has the unique preference for Hawaiian pizza! You can uplevel your pizza party by having your team participate in a virtual team building game.
