National Stress Awareness Day (November 1)

Including National Stress Awareness Day in your workplace events calendar is a great opportunity to take time out of the office and relax with your team. A great way to celebrate this day is to plan a fun activity that everyone can participate in. Whether it’s a potluck lunch, a yoga class, or a movie night, it’s important to give your team an opportunity to slow down and have some fun. Encourage your team to unplug from work for the day and engage in activities that reduce stress. Celebrating National Stress Awareness Day is a great way to build team morale, and help everyone stay healthy and productive.

Team Appreciation Day (November 4)

Celebrating Team Appreciation Day in your workplace events calendar is a great way to show your team members how much they mean to you. Start by recognizing and thanking team members for their hard work and dedication. You can do this in a meeting, or by sending a personalized card or gift to each member. Another great way to celebrate is to organize a team-building activity, such as a game night, lunch outing, or fun challenge. This will give your team a chance to bond and have fun together. Finally, don’t forget to show your appreciation by providing snacks and refreshments for the team. Showing your team that you truly appreciate their efforts will help create a positive, supportive work environment.

Veteran’s Day (November 11)

Honor the military veterans who have served the United States with their bravery and heroism with this holiday in your workplace events calendar. It’s a federal holiday, so your employees will likely not be in office, but you can still recognize your veterans through a variety of ways. You can share the stories of the veterans at your company or organize a happy hour or lunch to show your appreciation for them. For a fun spin, you can organize a Veteran’s Day-themed trivia event that’s both educational and fun for all involved.

Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November)

Gather your employees and throw a work Friendsgiving! Have everyone organize a potluck where people can bring their favorite dishes, or order catering to the office for a fun office lunch with fall-themed foods. For a remote or distributed team, you can send everyone a fall-themed lunch to be delivered by a local food delivery company, or for a special Thanksgiving-spin on it, send everyone a pie of a flavor of their choice.

Small Business Saturday (Saturday after Thanksgiving)

While Black Friday and Cyber Monday typically incentivize consumers to shop at large retailers, Small Business Saturday encourages everyone to explore their main street and shop businesses that are small and local. Support local small businesses by putting together lists of small companies in your local area and as a company, you can give employees a small budget to go and buy something from their local business.
