Thanks for the memories

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that after 3+ years of fun, Bar None Games is closing its doors on June 30, 2023.

We are so grateful for the support of you, our loyal customers, throughout our company’s life.

In May 2020, at the start of the pandemic, we hosted our first impromptu game to connect our friends when our grad school reunion went remote.

We thought nothing of it at the time, but at the game’s conclusion, texts and calls flooded in from our classmates, calling the game the highlight of quarantine and asking us to host events for their friends, family, and companies.

In that moment, Bar None Games was born — and our lives changed forever.

Over the next three years, our team of 6 employees and 70 hosts experienced the absolute joy of hosting events for so many of you: startups and tech companies, financial and law firms, non-profits and colleges. We had the honor of connecting people during the loneliest time of many of our lives — something we never took for granted.

But now, nearly 4,000 events later, the world has changed. People are gathering again in person, and ready to get off Zoom for a bit. Bar None doesn’t occupy as vital a space as it did three years ago.

As sad as we are to leave, we’re even more grateful that in-person connection has returned. We knew exactly when we were needed, and we know that now it’s time to move on to other pursuits.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for all of the support, laughs, and memories. We couldn’t have done this without you — and we wouldn’t have wanted to!

This has been the experience of a lifetime … bar none.

Spencer, Lilian, and the Bar None Games team

P.S. We’re still hosting select events for large groups. If you’re interested in holding an event for a group of 100+, please email spencer.fertig@gmail.com with your inquiry and details!
