Why Acceleration Partners chooses us for their global events and DEI events

“The programs are so well done by the Bar None Games team. We’ve gotten such great feedback from our employees who participated!”
- Annabelle Loudon, Talent and Culture Coordinator

About Annabelle Loudon

Annabelle is a Talent and Culture Coordinator. Her job covers human resources, talent management, talent acquisition and training. Her role also specifically covers employee engagement at the firm.

She has been with Acceleration Partners, a 300-person global marketing agency, since 2020.

The challenge

Even though Acceleration Partners has been remote-first for over 15 years, their biggest challenge is still forging relationships, creating connections, and fostering a sense of community. It’s immensely challenging when you’re not walking into an office and physically sitting in the same room.

Before, employees in the same cities used to get together locally for happy hours, but the pandemic has forced them to think differently about how to get teams together.

“The virtual events have been a great approach to get people chatting and connected. They’ve been able to meet new people and talk to other teams and departments.”

The solution

We worked with Acceleration Partners to host monthly virtual events

They had a few priorities:

  • Global: They’re a global company and like to have people meet others in different regions and across different teams

  • DEI: They have internal DEI committees that are looking for unique and fun ways to celebrate diversity

  • Organization: They wanted a professional team to ensure that everything was easy to set up and that during the actual event, the experience felt flawless

What we delivered:

  • Global content: For their global events where we knew there were non-US players, we curated content that was inclusive for everyone (no American pop culture!)

  • DEI content: We worked closely with their DEI internal committee to host a variety of events focused specifically on diversity and inclusion. We have many themed events for diversity celebrations that are both educational as well as fun and engaging

  • Organization: Every event was set up and delivered seamlessly with a host that brought incredible energy

The results

  • 100+ employees connected across the globe

  • 2 diversity and inclusion celebrations

  • 5 events that brought employees together globally on a monthly basis

  • Positive feedback that flows into Annabelle’s inbox after an event is over

“Knowing that you’ll have a touch point with employees coming up is really helpful for people.”

We hosted regular monthly events for the Acceleration Partners team:

  • Hispanic Heritage Month trivia event

  • Halloween trivia event

  • Black History Month trivia event

  • Specially curated trivia event

  • In particular, Bar None Games worked closely with their DEI internal committee to host a variety of events focused specifically on diversity and inclusion

Why Acceleration Partners relies on Bar None Games

  • Employee love: After the first event, feedback was so great on how much people enjoyed it. This was the vote of confidence which resulted in the multitude of events following it

  • Seamless operations: As the organizer, Annabelle loves knowing that there’s nothing to worry about and that Bar None Games takes care of it all. It’s completely stress-free

  • Professionalism: The whole process is buttoned up, from booking to the actual execution on the game. Everything is so well organized and there’s no fumbling through anything

  • Cost: Services are fairly priced and easily fit into the budget

“I specifically got a message from an employee that sticks out in my mind who was so complimentary of the host and how well-run the event was.”
