Coworkers celebrating January 2022 workplace holidays

January 2022 workplace holidays

New Year’s Day (Jan 1)

It’s time for a fresh start! This is a great opportunity to ask your employees if they have any reflections or learnings from the last year and to see if they have any new goals for the new year - whether personal or professional.

National Trivia Day (Jan 4)

Trivia is a favorite here at Bar None Games, and we know that it’s a favorite activity for many other teams as well. Celebrate your love of trivia by hosting a virtual trivia team building event. Test your team’s knowledge and also build up communication and collaboration skills while you’re at it.

National Dress Up Your Pet Day (Jan 14)

For everyone who’s a pet parent, it’s time to show off your favorite furry family member! Whether the pet is dressed up or not, encourage your team members to share in Slack or Teams a photo of their pet. Even better, hold a Zoom call where all furry friends are invited.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)

While your employees won’t be in office for this federal holiday, use the days leading up to this to recognize the impact that Martin Luther King Jr. has had on American history. This is a great time to have a thoughtful discussion around the American civil rights movement and what it means to individuals.

National Have Fun At Work Day (Jan 28)

We love this holiday! Every day should be Have Fun at Work Day, but January 28th is the official national day celebrating this. Throw a fun event for your employees and celebrate your office’s workplace culture.
